SpeakReady is an IELTS Speaking practice application that helps users prepare for the IELTS Speaking test through AI-powered feedback. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

We do not sell user data to third parties or show advertisements. Our focus is solely on providing a quality IELTS preparation experience while respecting your privacy.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in using Apple or Google Sign-In, we collect:

• Your name (if provided)
• A unique user identifier

This information is used to create and manage your account, track your free trial usage, and sync your subscription status.

Audio Recordings

When you practice speaking, your audio recordings are:

• Transmitted securely to our servers for processing
• Transcribed using OpenAI's Whisper API
• Analyzed to generate feedback and band score estimates
• Not permanently stored after processing is complete

Practice Data

We store your practice history, including:

• Topics you have practiced
• Feedback and scores received
• Timestamps of practice sessions

This data is stored locally on your device and associated with your account to provide practice history features.

Analytics Data

We use Mixpanel to collect anonymous usage analytics to help improve our app. This includes:

• Device information (model, operating system version)
• App version
• Feature usage patterns
• Session duration

This data is collected anonymously and is used solely for understanding app usage patterns and improving our service.

Third-Party Services

• Clerk: We use Clerk for authentication. Your sign-in information is handled according to their privacy policy.
• OpenAI: We use OpenAI's APIs (Whisper for transcription, GPT-4 for feedback) to process your audio recordings. Your recordings are processed according to OpenAI's privacy policy.
• RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat for subscription management. Payment information is handled by Apple and RevenueCat according to their privacy policy.

Data Retention

Audio recordings are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers. Your account information and practice history are retained as long as you maintain an active account. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through the app settings or by contacting us.
